This Friday and Saturday the Emmanuel United Quilt Show is returning after a two-year hiatus. There will be a dazzling display of the art of the quilt. Quilts will be on display in the main hall and in the Sanctuary upstairs. The church is located at 205 rue Principale, in Cowansville.

Each quilt is a unique piece of workmanship. Even if two people use the same pattern, the choice of fabrics used to make a quilt, will result in two distinct variations. Like snowflakes, no two quilts are ever exact duplicates of the other.

The Fils Amis quilt shop in East Farnham will have several tables of fabrics and other goodies from the store available for purchases during the show. There will also be a table offering handmade crafts made by church members, which will be for sale. Admission to the show is five dollars. Children will be charged one dollar and children under five will be free. This is the second fund- raiser event being held at the church since “COVID times”. Slowly the social calendar is returning.

The hours for the show are 10 a.m. to 4p.m. on the Friday, and 9a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Saturday. People are asked not to touch the quilts. To get close and personal there will be gloves provided.
