A lot of work went into preparing the Garage Sale at the United Church in Knowlton last Saturday. Members of the Yamaska Valley Optimist Club were so pleased with the volume of donations and the large number of customers who came through during the day.

By the end of the afternoon, $4,700 was raised to go towards the annual BMP Cancer Walk which will be held on Oct. 2 this year. During the past two years the walks have been held virtually. This upcoming fall, once again, the walk will be in person.

Money raised goes directly towards purchasing equipment at the BMP Hospital. The Optimist Club has gotten this year’s run’s fundraising off to a good start! They want to thank everyone who helped to make Saturday’s garage sale such a prosperous event.
