Return to in-person Easter worship at Emmanuel United after two years

By Louse Smith

Services are continuing to be in a hybrid model at Emmanuel United Church in Cowansville. Parishioners have the option of worshipping in person or Zooming in on Sundays.

Reverend David Lefneski was happy to welcome nearly 40 people to the Sanctuary on Easter Sunday. Everyone was greeted with a chocolate egg as they came in the door. Susan Reininger had members of her community choir sing at the service. Four new members were added to the church family. It was a busy, happy service.

After the service hot chocolate was served outside. The hot chocolate was needed as the air was quite cool and while it was being handed out, snowflakes began to fall! It is nothing like what has been happening in Manitoba, but snow in April, in any form, was not wanted!
