Resounding success for Township Toddlers’ fundraising dinner

By Louise Smith

With the new resurgence of COVID cases, Ross Cote and his team were uncertain as to how the beef and pork dinner/auction/dance would turn out last Saturday night at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Cowansville. He did not need to fret. The community came out in good numbers to support the fundraiser for the Montreal Children’s Hospital.

Ross was pleased too with the corporate sponsors for the event: CDEC Cowansville, Brouemont for the supplies for supper , The Knights of Columbus, La Belle Province Restaurant, and Windmill Plastic in Knowlton. Many volunteers came to cook and serve the meal and to provide desserts. Smokin’ Country played for the diners for the end of the evening. Without the volunteers who gave of their time, the evening could not have happened.

One hundred and eighty five people came in person for supper and around twenty people came to take out a meal. By the time the evening was over $6,762.39 was raised for purchasing equipment for the Montreal Children’s Hospital.
The Township Toddler dinners are back!
Many volunteers helped to serve nearly two hundred people a tasty dinner last Saturday night for the Township Toddlers’ group which raises money for the Montreal Children’s Hospital.
