The weather could not have been more perfect to mark the opening day of the new season for the Sutton Saturday Market. It is located at 2 Curley, on the Royal Canadian Legion grounds. There is a sign on the main street indicating the street to turn up for the market.

A wide variety of vendors have their wares for sale. The range of items is extensive from food items to arts and crafts to wood working to attic treasures, all designed to tempt both local and visiting shoppers. One new vendor had an interesting display of unusual birdhouses in the shape of whimsical creatures.

This is the 52nd year of operation for the market. Wow! Judging from the number of shoppers and vendors on May 7, the market will be around for many more years to come. The market is open every Saturday until October from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Sutton Saturday Market has a Facebook page.
