Jane Patrick’s back yard is filling up with plants. Starting on Saturday, June 4 and usually for a few more weekends in June, the plants will go on sale to raise funds for the Stephen Lewis Foundation of Grandmothers Campaign. Money goes directly to the women in need. Africa is still affected by HIV AIDS and on top of that, COVID has added further burdens. Many children are being raised by grandmothers after the loss of parents.

The sale will take place at 8 rue Gagne, in Sutton, and it goes from 8 am to 4pm.

Jane and other members of the Townships Grandmothers will be happy to sell you plants, and have good conversations about the program in Africa or to have a good plant talk!

The plants vary from annuals, perennials, vegetables, house plants, and herbs, to bulbs and seeds. If you have any plants to donate, please deliver them to 8 Gagne or call 450-538-5294 to arrange for free pick-up service.

Thousands of dollars have been raised over the past years for this worthy cause. Community support has been wide and is greatly appreciated by the organization here in our midst, and most certainly by the recipients in Africa.
