Advance notice and call for quilts for the annual Emmanuel Quilt Show

By Louise Smith

On Friday, May 13 and Saturday May 14, the Annual Quilt Show will be happening at Emmanuel United Church on rue Principale in Cowansville. It will be a dazzling display of talent, and both modern and vintage quilts. Friday’s exhibition times will be from 10 am to 4 pm and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
If you have a quilt that you would like to have on display, please contact Alice Crossfield or Laurie Jenne at 450 – 955-1957 before April 30. Labels are being made, so if you know the name of the pattern, and the maker of the quilt, that would be helpful. If your quilt is for sale, please know what price you would like to ask for the quilt.
At the last quilt show in 2019 over 50 quilts, some big, and some small, filled the church hall and upstairs in the sanctuary. There will also be a table with supplies from the Fils Amis quilt shop and a table with handicrafts. A percentage of the sales from the handicraft table will be given to the church. There will be an entry fee of five dollars. There will also be tickets for sale for a drawing for a quilt and other items.
